Peace and Quiet?

Today is a strange day. I don't have a lot of time to post, because I've got a TON of stuff to do/catch up on, but wanted to let you know I'm alive.

My mom has been staying with us for the last 8 weeks. I was lucky enough to have Bella at the perfect time for my mom to be done teaching school for the summer and be able to come and help with Bella. It was so wonderful to have her here. I think we were both pretty apprehensive about it, but we had a great time and never got the least bit cranky with each other. It's amazing how smart Mom's become when you become a mom yourself. I'm sit here tearing up thinking of the sacrifice she made for me this summer and for my whole life. I never gave her enough credit for all she did for us. I don't know how I would have kept my head above water with her not being here. Trying to run a business and have a newborn proved much more difficult than I though it would be. Thank Mom! I love you!

I'll post more about the many activities over the last week later.

One step forward 1/2 step back

I thought we had Bella on the bottle, so we tried again yesterday and she SCREAMED and SCREAMED and SCREAMED! I finally started to nurse her and she calmed down, then I slipped in the bottle and she was fine, I tried to hand her off to Grandma with the bottle still in her mouth and she FREAKED! So we tried again today and she took 1/2 of it, then when my mom went to burp her and give it to her again she freaked again! AUGH! Any hints would be much appreciated. We have two weeks until Grandma leaves and she has to be taking a bottle.

1st Anniversary

Finally I'm getting around to mentioning our anniversary. We are one of the gazillion 07.07.07 couples. We got married at Wente Vineyards, it was the most amazing day and everything turned out perfect. Frank and I have had a lot of 7s in our life. Isabella is the 7th grand child on both sides of the family. When I was pregnant Frank suggested naming the baby Sette, 7 in Italion. I told him we aren't famous enough for that! Then when we checked into the hospital, all but two of there rooms were empty, and they put us in room number 7.

Mom and Isabella joined us for our anniversary. Frank wanted to blind fold me for the car ride, but I refused, instead I closed me eyes (MUCH to my chagrin). It was fun though to not figure out where we were going (the vineyard is very out of the way, I would have figured it out very quickly). Dinner was very yummy. After dinner we walked around and took pictures where we were married and in the vineyard.

fun blog

Here is a totally different game of tag. My cousin Taeya had this on her blog and it looks like fun!
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew us a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

She did it!

My Mom is here staying with us for the summer helping out with Bella. Thank goodness! I don't know how I would be able to run the business and have a newborn. It's hard enough with my mom here.

Anyway, we finally decided to try and give Bella a bottle so that when my Mom leaves and I don't have the luxury of dragging the babysitter and Bella around with me to wait in the car during client meetings she'll need to take a bottle. The first time we tried she wanted absolutely nothing to do with it and screamed (she's got a GREAT set of lungs)! So we went to the store to look for different bottles based on some recommendations from other people. We found the Adiri bottle we gave it to her today and she took to it right away and drank the whole thing! She loved it! Of course she has to have expensive taste because it's the most expensive bottle I've seen. Hopefully we can get away with just having one for each stage.
