Baby Giveaway!

I'm giving away one 7.5 month old baby. She's current on her shots and very healthy. She's a little on the large size, but it's just proof she's healthy. The reason I've got to get rid of her is SHE NEVER SLEEPS!!!!

For some bizarre reason she will sleep at Stefanie's house but not at her own. It's not because she let's her cry (she says she doesn't at least). She's up every 3 hours at night and today she slept for a total of 15 minutes. I put her down for bed and she slept an additional 10 minutes and is now awake. I tried letting her cry after 30 minutes and snot running down her face I gave up. We've tried swaddling (used to do the trick, now she can just sit up and stand up and scream), music, a mobile, pacifier (she won't have anything to do with it). AUGH!

Working and trying to take care of a kid at the same time is NOT working! If anyone has suggestions I would be GLAD to hear them!! We are stuck between not being able to afford to pay a babysitter and not being able to make more money while not having a babysitter!

I love that you're just going to give her away. I at least put my kid up for sale. I mean, she's gotta be worth SOMETHING! It must be the economy though, I didn't get any bids for her.

So .. I've come to the conclusion that she sleeps at my house because (1) it's boring, so there's nothing to miss out on (2) the more she sleeps, the sooner she sees her mommy and daddy and (3) the more she sleeps, the less pictures I get to take of her.

That's the only thing I can think of. =o)

Both my kids went through this. It was like one day there were different kids. I wish you the best!!

Me! I'll take her...snot and all. I bet she is adorable...even if she doesn't sleep.
Poor Holly. I feel for you! Ella was kinda the same way. Just not a great sleeper. I mean, how many babies do you know that only sleep for a few mins. at a time...mine too! Grrrr. Very frusterating. Ella has generally outdrown it. She still wakes up ocassionally a few times every night. But, she has grown into sleeping longer, as I am sure Bella will. I was thinking, though. Is Stefanie's house noiser than yours? Sometimes babies prefer a bit of noise...think white noise. Babies are funny, and your tummy wasn't a quiet place. I dunno...just an idea.

Don't listen to Steph, her kids are terrible sleepers ;)

Sorry, I'm not much help. Although, I'm a BIG fan of crying it out. I'll usually last for about an hour and then break.

*shudder* I remember those days. One of those moments when you understand how child abuse can happen. You desperately need the break and suddenly their eyes pop wide open and you want to cry. I think Kylie just grew out of it. I tried using a fan with a towel over it for white noise. She sleeps with it still. I even tried Benadryl, but that didn't work. Lavender oil still works. I feel for you. It will get better, just hang in there.

I'll take her! My boys have been begging for a little sister to tug around!!!

Sorry-I'll have to agree with my little sis-I believe in crying it out. *BIG sigh* Not my favorite thing at all!! It was about the same age with Gunner this go around. If they aren't NEEDING to eat at night, they can sleep it through-according to my ped. My babies have all cried for an hour the first couple nights, then settle down much quicker. Then it is amazing how well they sleep until they teeth, etc. Is little Bella teething? My boys are awful teethers and it makes them sleep crappy and crabby. Just some thoughts. Good luck!

You poor thing - I so feel for you! I hate letting them cry it out (the big alligator tears, the snot running down the face, the river of saliva pouring out of their screaming mouths, the I'm dying look they give you when you make eye contact with them) I feel so bad, but I do feel like it works. Even though I hate it, I notice after a couple of good rounds Bri seems to do better. Hang in there and GOOD LUCK!!!

Oh the joy of motherhood. Isn't is great (most days), the sleep deprivation is one of the hardest things to adjust to! My little girl would not sleep, we slept maybe 2 hours at night, and it was killing me. My friend suggested reading "Babywise, giving your baby the gift of nightime sleep." It was a miracle after I read it and applied the principles how fast it worked. If your up to try anything, I would go to AMazon.com and order it. Best case......you all get some sleep and have a veryy happy baby :O) Good Luck!!!
